We are pleased to invite you and your kind colleagues to the Danube Ecological Corridor – international seminar; Budapest, 28th of March 2018 9:00 AM – 15:30 PM; Ministry of Agriculture 1055 Budapest Kossuth Lajos tér 11.

Special actuality: 

  • Intention to develop a Trans-European Network for Green Infrastructure (TEN-G);
  • Intention for connecting protected areas in an Alpine-Danube-Carpathian ecological corridor (“ADC-NET”); 
  • Intention for enhancing eco-tourism, establishing green jobs.

Aims of the event: 

  • Clarifying of the „ecological corridor” role of Danube;
  • Assessing achievements and gaps of nature conservation and rural development; 
  • Defining of next steps, directions for nature conservation and eco-tourism.

Presenters:

Among others, DG Environment, MTA Centre for Ecological Research, Bavarian State Ministry of the Environment and Consumer Protection, WWF Austria, Alpine Strategy are expected to be represented.

The seminar is co-organized by EU Strategy for the Danube Region Priority Area 6 (preserving biodiversity, landscapes and the quality of air and soils) and the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture. The event will be held in English.
